Senja is an island 300km north from Arctic Circle and about 100km north from Lofoten. Visited by much less tourists than Lofoten, less commercial but as beautiful and majestic. It's remote northern location guarantees the bes chance for Aurora Borealis and clear night sky observation without the light pollution from big cities. The date chosen for this trip guarantee the new moon black skies.
Day 1 (19.10)
We meet at he Gdańsk airport at 10AM. taking care of paperwork and checking in baggage. Departure at 12:25. Landing in Tromsø half past 9PM. Picking up a car and heading to Botnhamn where we have a rented house. trip takes arround 3h.
Day 2-4 (20-22.10)
Activities depend mostly on the weather. During the day we have some amazing trekking possibilities with easy trails 1-2h one way.
During the night we are photographing auroras from the locations with incredible foregrounds.
Day 5 (23.10)
Leaving the house arround 8AM and headind to Tromsø experiencing the northern landscapes along the way. In Tromsø we have few hours for sightseeing as well ast trying the world famous hot dogs from Roketten kiosk (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g190475-d7035146-Reviews-Raketten-Tromso_Troms_Northern_Norway.html)
Departure at 15:40. Landing in Gdańsk at 18:20.
